Kayak Put-In Info for: McNears Beach, San Rafael
Overview: My family loves going to this beach. I have 4 year old and a 5 year old. We leave in San Anselmo so it only takes us less than 1/2 hour. We find that it is a great place to meet up with friends who live in the City, Novato, and the East Bay. The weather has been georgous. Unlike going to Heart Desire where the weather can be overcast, and windy. The families for the most part are friendly and the Lifeguards and Rangers anr kind and Helpfull. The only issues that I had was when it was adult swim and there were a couple of people who had their children with them and they seem to look as if they were getting special treatment. Whereas our kids were shooed away. Come to find out that if your child is 3 or under they can swim with you during adult swim. I must say that the diversity is something that I can't expain with words alone. I was so impressed. The world could learn from watching how harmonious the familys got along at a day at McNears beach. I really love McNears beach and hope that everyone can experience the little heaven on earth. the pool can get a little crowed after 4 on the weekends so try to get there earlier.
